Active ingredient: acetylcysteine

Composition 1 soluble tablet contains: acetylcysteine 600mg, sodium cyclamate 30mg, sodium saccharin 5mg, ascorbic acid 75mg (=vitamin C), citric acid, sodium dihydrogen carbonate, mannital, lactose, tropical fruit flavor.

Pharmaceutical properties and mode of
action 
Aeromuc liquefies the viscous mucus in diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract (nose, throat, lungs), facilitates its expectoration and thereby improves the ability to breathe freely.
The active ingredient acetylcysteine consists of the body's own substances acetate and cysteine and is well tolerated.

Indications for use:
For liquefaction of viscous secretions in diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract.

Contraindications
Aeromuc 600 mg should not be taken in case of known hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation and by children under 6 years of age.
Particular care should be taken in case of severe spasms of the respiratory tract, shortness of breath, a tendency to bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.

Pregnancy and lactation
The attending physician decides on its use during this period.

Precautions for use and special warnings
The onset of pregnancy must be reported to the doctor immediately. Also, tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed.
Keep medicines out of reach of children! If the symptoms persist or if the expected success of the application does not occur, medical advice is required as soon as possible.

Interactions
Aeromuc can be taken concomitantly with antibiotics such as amoxicillin, bacampicillin, doxycycline, erythromycin, thioamphenicol, as well as cefixime and cefuroxime.
If it is necessary to take another antibiotic, it should be taken at least two hours after taking Aeromuc.
Activated charcoal in high doses can reduce the effectiveness of acetylcysteine.

Dosage
Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, the dosage given below should be strictly adhered to.
Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age
In acute and chronic diseases, 1 soluble tablet 1 time a day.
For children under 14 years of age, the tablet can be divided at the fracture grooves. The standard daily dose for children from 6 to 14 years of age is 300 to 400mg of acetylcysteine.
In addition, Aeromuc is available in strengths of 100mg and 200mg.
Treatment for new diseases should last for 10 days.

Method of administration
The tablet is dissolved in water and the resulting solution is drunk before the meal. Prepare the solution fresh.

Side effects
Rarely, heartburn, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, inflammation of the mouth, nasal dripping, fever and drowsiness may occur.
Occasionally, coughing fits and bronchospasms can occur, which can trigger an attack in particularly sensitive asthmatics.
Rarely, allergic skin reactions may occur.
