beecraft® Propolis skin balm is suitable for the long-term care of sensitive, dry or chapped skin and prevents skin impurities such as pimples or blackheads.

Propolis is a natural active ingredient from the beehive that is particularly valued for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The natural substance supports natural cell renewal, promotes the skin's metabolism and soothes irritated, reddened skin. The skin balm has also proven itself for the natural care and soothing of the skin after insect bites or sunburn.

The effect of propolis is supplemented by the nourishing and relaxing properties of sage and camomile.

What is propolis?

The basic substance of propolis is collected by bees as a resinous substance from the buds and bark of various trees. Only the most experienced and oldest bees in a colony take on this important task. In the search for suitable plant substances, they proceed very carefully. The collected selection is then additionally refined by the bee with ferment, pollen and wax and thus processed into propolis, a unique natural product. A gentle harvest can produce up to 100 g of propolis per year from a beehive. In order to disturb the life of the bees as little as possible, modern methods make use of the natural behavior of the bees.

Protection from the beehive - the natural alternative

Up to 60,000 bees live and work together in a beehive in a very small space at around 35°C. There is a busy coming and going. Propolis is therefore used by the bees to prevent germs and bacteria from entering the hive. Not only the entrance hole, but the entire hive is covered with a thin layer of propolis on the inside. More than 300 different natural substances contained in propolis protect the beehive from the spread of diseases - and have been doing so for thousands of years.

The ancient Egyptians already used the wide range of effects of propolis. Today it is considered a natural all-rounder. For medical skin care, propolis has proven itself particularly due to its germ-inhibiting and anti-inflammatory properties.
