Jiaogulan is also called the "herb of immortality" because in the Chinese province of Guizhou the proportion of people over 100 years of age is far higher than the general population average. This is attributed to the regular consumption of this tea in this region. Jiaogulan is also an adaptogen and thus has a balancing effect, for example with both sleep disorders and lack of energy. Jiaogulan is also available in our range as a mono-substance in our Jiaogulan extract capsules.

Adaptogens have a triple effect on our organism by increasing resistance to all stress factors (physical, chemical and biological) and thereby having a balancing effect on the entire organism.

The "better ginseng"

Ginseng is a root that is taken for general strengthening. However, the effect of ginseng is built up with (internal) pressure, which is not always what is most desirable for health. Jiaogulan builds a similar effect but without the unwanted pressure. This has earned Jiaogulan the nicknames "better ginseng", "gentle ginseng" or "women's ginseng".
