Rhodiola the anti-stress plant

Rhodiola, also known as rose root and golden root, prefers to grow in rock crevices, bogs and arctic areas. Freshly cut, the thick rootstock smells of roses and gave the plant its name.

Rhodiola extract contains phytohormones

Substances that have a similar effect in plants as hormones do in us are called phytohormones. They are able to stimulate our hormone receptors and thereby regulate our hormone balance.

Phytohormone

Phytohormones can have a regulating influence on the hormonal balance, but they are by no means as strong as our body's own hormones. They are therefore equally valuable for women and men, as we know from research that both sexes need the hormones of the opposite sex for holistic health.

Phytohormones have a regulating effect

The effect of the phytohormones also depends on whether the respective endogenous hormone level is too high or too low. If a level is too high, the phytohormones can dock to the hormone receptors in the body thanks to their similarity and thus prevent the body's own hormones, which have a much stronger effect, from docking and developing their effect. If the level is too low, on the other hand, they develop their gentler effect and thus contribute to a balanced hormone level.

phytoestrogens

The phytohormones contained in rhodiola are similar to the body's own estrogen, which plays an important role in the health of men and women in general.

Adequate estrogen levels can:

  • promote blood circulation in all body tissues (organs, nervous system, bone tissue, skin, etc.).
  • promote the widening of the veins
  • regulate cholesterol levels and thus protect against diseases of the cardiovascular system
  • regulate calcium storage in the bones
  • increase the ability to concentrate
  • support healthy sleep
  • positive mood
  • Encourage fat storage under the skin to keep it soft and supple
  • Retain water in the connective tissue and thus promote smooth, wrinkle-free skin

Estrogen deficiency is associated with:

  • Complaints during menopause
  • Hormonal skin problems
  • Elevated PSA level
  • Mid-life crisis in men
  • Reduced libido in both men and women
  • PMS (premenstrual syndrome)
  • premature aging
  • osteoporosis
  • arteriosclerosis

Cordyceps

Cordyceps sinensis is the Latin name, this medicinal mushroom is also known to us as the Chinese caterpillar mushroom. It is traditionally used as a tonic for mood swings, exhaustion or stress. Athletes use it specifically to increase energy and endurance, especially the ATP formation and energy production are positively influenced. Cordyceps is also considered an adaptogen.

Jiaogulan Extrakt

Jiaogulan is also called the "herb of immortality" because in the Chinese province of Guizhou the proportion of people over 100 years of age is far higher than the general population average. This is attributed to the regular consumption of this tea in this region. Jiaogulan is also an adaptogen and thus has a balancing effect, for example with both sleep disorders and lack of energy. Jiaogulan is also available in our range as a mono-substance in our Jiaogulan extract capsules.
