Star anise is the fruit of an evergreen tree from Asia, which can grow up to 20 meters high and takes over 16 years before it bears this valuable fruit for the first time. This tree shows a rarity in nature. Neither a bacterium nor a virus and certainly not a fungus can harm it, this tree hardly ever gets sick from various pathogens. Its fruits also carry this power to resist. When people still had the ability to recognize such characteristics of a plant, they started using the plants for their own health and lo and behold: it worked!

One of the more well-known ingredients is shikimic acid, other ingredients are essential oils such as "anethole" and "cineol", which is also found in eucalyptus, which is also known for its effect on the respiratory tract.

Star anise-honey: mix a few capsules with honey and “lick” them by the spoonful throughout the day.
