Chicory syrup is a novelty on the sweetener market .
This chicory sweetener is made using a unique patented method from chicory root. Up to one meter tall plant with a stiff stem is known as a health-promoting herb of folk medicine. In addition to its use in the form of syrup, under its name, many will certainly remember the processing of its root for a healthy substitute for coffee.
Unlike regular sugar, chicory syrup has a large number of benefits, including, for example, a high content of beneficial fiber and a very low glycemic index. It contains almost half as many calories as honey or sugar.
The possibilities of using the syrup are very diverse, it is possible to mix hot and cold drinks, desserts, cookies, sponges, ice creams, pancakes or yogurts with it. However, syrup can also replace shortening, so it can be used for baking all types of sweet pastries with significantly lower energy values.
