Aciclovir is used to treat cold sores on the lips and face in the itch, burning or blistering condition caused by Herpes simplex virus (HSV). Early treatment with this medicine will stop the formation of herpes. If the cold sore has already occurred, treatment with this medicine will speed up its healing.
Dosage and method of use
Gently apply the cream to the entire affected area and to the half-inch hem of the surrounding healthy skin. Apply the cream to the affected area five times a day at four-hour intervals.
If you forget to apply the cream, do so as soon as you remember. Then continue with the original application sequence.
Ingredients
The active substance is Aciclovir (aciclovir), 1g of cream contains aciclovir 50 mg.
The other ingredients are cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, glyceromacrogol stearate, liquid paraffin, propylene glycol, white petrolatum, purified water.
Contraindication
Do not use if you are allergic to aciclovir, valaciclovir or any of the other ingredients.
