Azelastine COMOD belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines. Antihistamines work by preventing the effects of substances, such as histamine, that the body produces as part of an allergic reaction. It has been shown to reduce eye inflammation. It can be used to treat and prevent eye problems that occur with hay fever and can also be used to treat eye problems caused by allergies to substances such as household dust particles or animal hair. Azelastine COMOD is not suitable for the treatment of eye infections.
Dosage and method of use
Eye problems caused by hay fever: Unless the doctor prescribes otherwise, adults and children over 4 years of age take one drop of the product in each eye twice a day (morning and evening).
Eye problems caused by allergy: Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults and children aged 12 years and over take one drop of the product twice a day in each eye.
Ingredients
It contains the active substance azelastine hydrochloride 0.50 mg / ml. Other ingredients of the product include, disodium edetate dihydrate, hypromellose, sorbitol, sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment) and water for injections.
Contraindication
Do not use Azelastine COMOD if you are allergic to azelastine hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this product or if you are using contact lenses.
