1. WHAT IS STODAL AND WHAT IT IS USED FOR
Traditional herbal medicinal product used for all types of cough.
It can be used by adults, adolescents and children over 2 years of age. Children 2 to 4 years of age may take the medicine only after consulting a doctor.
The use of this traditional herbal medicinal product is based solely on long-term experience.
2. BEFORE YOU TAKE STODAL Do
not take STODAL
- if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substances or to any of the other ingredients
- if you suffer from stomach inflammation
- if you have stomach ulcers.
Take special care with STODAL
in case of intolerance to some sugars, a low sugar diet or in diabetics, as this medicinal product contains sucrose.
This medicinal product contains 1.74% v / v ethanol (alcohol).
The use of this product is harmful to alcoholics. Ethanol content should be taken into account in pregnant and lactating women, children and high-risk groups such as patients with liver disease, brain disease, brain injury or epilepsy.
If you develop fever, shortness of breath or purulent mucus while taking this medicine, consult your doctor.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
As there are insufficient data on the use of the product in pregnant and lactating women and because it contains ethanol, its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.
Driving and using machines
No studies on the effects on the ability to drive and use machines have been performed. No influence is expected.
Important information about some of the ingredients of STODAL
The product contains sucrose and ethanol.
L teaspoon (2.5 ml) contains 0.0345 g ethanol and 1.875 g sucrose.
1 teaspoon (5 ml) contains 0.069 g ethanol and 3.75 g sucrose.
1 tablespoon (15 ml) contains 0.206 g ethanol and 11.25 g sucrose. The amount of alcohol in this dose corresponds to 2.18 ml of wine or 5.22 ml of beer.
Due to its ethanol content, the product is harmful to patients suffering from alcoholism and should also
be taken into account in children, pregnant and nursing women and high-risk patients (see section 2 Take special care with STODAL).
If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
3. HOW TO TAKE STODAL
Always take STODAL exactly as described in this leaflet. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
The usual dose is:
Children 2 to 4 years of age: take teaspoons (2.5 ml) 3-5 times a day.
Children 2 to 4 years of age may take the medicine only after consulting a doctor.
Children 5 to 11 years of age: take 1 teaspoon (5 ml) 3-5 times a day.
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age: take 1 tablespoon (15 ml) 3-5 times a day.
Take the medicine for a maximum of 10 days. If symptoms worsen or do not improve within 5 days in adults or within 3 days in children, consult your doctor.
If you forget to take STODAL
Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.
If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor
or pharmacist.
4. POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS
Like all medicines, STODAL can cause side effects, although not everybody
gets them.
Sensitive persons may experience digestive problems.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.
5. HOW TO STORE STODAL
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use STODAL after the expiry date which is stated on the carton.
This medicinal product does not require any special storage conditions.
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines you no longer need. These measures help to protect the environment.
