CUTIMED SILTEC HEEL silicone foam dressing 16x24cm 5pcs

Cutimed Siltec Heel Plus non-adhesive foam cover 16x24cm 5pcs  is a sterile absorbent cover made of silicone-coated polyurethane foam with superabsorbent strips that increase absorption and lock exudate from the wound. The contact layer surface allows adhesion to the skin surrounding the wound, but not to the moist wound bed or newly formed epithelial tissue. The designation "PLUS" means higher adhesion within the Siltec product range.

The Cutimed SiltecPLUS Heel range is intended for exuding wounds such as: venous and arterial ulcers, decubitus ulcers, diabetic ulcers, surgical incisions, skin grafts and donor sites, lacerations or abrasions. It is recommended for wounds with a low to high level of exudate. 

• Gentle with high adhesion - the silicone contact layer (with higher adhesion than Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D) prevents adhesion to the newly formed tissue, protects the wound edges and ensures atraumatic dressing change.
• Special shape - it is specially designed for the heel and is characterized by good adaptability. It can also be adapted to similar body parts, such as elbows or knees. The cover can also be trimmed to size.
• Cushioning effect - this cover eliminates pressure points. Its cushioning properties ensure good wearing comfort.
• Reliable exudate management - open-pore polyurethane foam allows for vertical absorption and ensures reliable capture of exudate (wound discharge) and its retention inside the cover, even under compression. Superabsorbent strips increase absorption capacity.
• Water-repellent and breathable substrate  - the outer film is resistant to bacteria, water-repellent and ensures proper evaporation of liquid at varying levels of saturation.

Cutimed SiltecPLUS Heel can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on the condition of the wound and the saturation of the coverage. Initially, it is recommended to change the cover every 24 hours and move to less frequent changes as needed.
