Cutimed Sorbact Antimicrobial Yarn Cover 5cm x 200cm Roll is a wound gauze with DACC™ coating that binds bacteria and fungi and uses Sorbact® Technology. It is suitable as a wound filler and allows exudate to pass from the wound to the secondary covering.
Cutimed Sorbact Coiled Gauze is intended for use in the treatment of clean, contaminated, colonized, or infected exuding wounds such as surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and leg ulcers. It can be used on both superficial and deep wounds, such as sinuses and fistulas. Cutimed Sorbact wound gauze is also indicated for the treatment of fungal infections in skin folds (intertrigo).

- Can be cut to suitable size and shape - Easily cut to any size and shape to suit your needs, suitable for many types of wounds.
- Easy removal - If the end of the cover is left outside the cavity or fistula, it can be easily removed in its entirety.
If the clinical condition allows, the covering can be left in place for up to 7 days.
The package contains 10 rolls with dimensions of 5 cm x 200 cm.
Dosage and method of use
- Prepare the wound and surrounding skin according to local clinical practice.
- Choose the appropriate sterile gauze for the wound. If necessary, the dressing may overlap the edges of the wound.
- Aseptically remove the cover from the package.
- Cut the covering aseptically if necessary. Do not cut it above the wound. Discard unused cover.
- Apply coverage. Ensure that the dressing comes into direct contact with the entire wound surface so that microorganisms can bind to the dressing. Do not fill cavities or fistulas too densely. Always leave part of the cover outside the cavity/fistula for easy removal. If the covering is cut, always leave the cut end outside the wound to prevent fiber residue from entering the wound.
- Apply a secondary drape appropriate for the level of exudate, such as a foam drape, absorbent pad, or gelling fiber drape, and secure.
The frequency of dressings depends on the level of exudate and the overall condition of the wound and the surrounding skin. If the clinical condition allows, the covering can be left in place for up to 7 days.
How to remove it:
If the dressing adheres to the wound, moisten it to make it easier to remove and not to disturb the wound bed and surrounding tissue.
