EasyTouch® strips are made for in vitro use and can only be used with the EasyTouch® device. The system is intended for home use or medical personnel to measure cholesterol levels from a sample of fresh capillary (whole) blood from a finger.
The EasyTouch® Cholesterol Monitoring System quantitatively measures cholesterol levels from fresh capillary whole blood. This measurement is based on determining the current changes caused by the reaction of cholesterol with a reagent on the strip electrode. When the blood sample touches the target area on the strip, it is automatically drawn into the reagent zone on the strip.

Dosage and method of use
Each box contains a chip that must be inserted into the device. The device is chipped and put the chip back in the box. Always keep the box closed. Follow the instructions.
To measure, you need: EasyTouch® device, coding chip, test strip, autolancet (pen).
- Before first use, calibrate the device with the included coding chip.
- Wash and dry your hands and prepare the autolancet . Disinfect your finger with an alcohol swab (not included).
- Insert the test strip into the device with the contact chips facing down and towards you . The device turns on automatically. A code will appear on the display. Check that the code matches (the number on the display and the box must be the same).
- After a flashing drop appears on the display, the device is ready to measure. Use an autolancet (pen) to inject your finger. Squeeze out the required drop of blood (e.g. wipe the first drop with a tissue and squeeze out the second drop of blood). Then place your finger from the side (from the side) of the strip to the reaction site (marked by an arrow). The strip itself draws a blood sample . The window turns red. It is very important that the ENTIRE reaction site is filled with blood , otherwise the results will not be accurate. Keep your finger on the strip until the device beeps . ATTENTION - when measuring cholesterol, a larger blood sample is needed (at least 0.15 µl), otherwise the measurement may be inaccurate (cholesterol value will be lower)! For a better idea, the drop of blood on your finger should be at least 0.5 cm in diameter.
- The device beeps, measures. After 150 seconds, the result will be displayed on the display, which will be automatically saved in the device's memory.
- Pull the strip out of the device (it turns off automatically). Dispose of the strip according to applicable regulations.
When measuring, it is necessary to apply a larger amount of blood - approx. 6 mm drops in diameter. Measure 2 - 4 times a month.
Test Results
Cholesterol test results are shown on the display in either mg/dL (whole numbers) or mmol/L (numbers with a decimal point).
Composition
Each EasyTouch® cholesterol test strip contains the following reagent:
Cholesterol oxidation ≥ 3 IU
Non-reactive ingredients ≥ 2.1 mg
Notice
Close the box immediately after removing the strip.
EasyTouch® Cholesterol Test Strips are designed for the EasyTouch® device only and for fresh capillary whole blood samples only. Therefore, do not use plasma or serum, venous or arterial blood.
Observe the temperature and humidity of the environment when measuring (14-40°C, 85% humidity), otherwise the results may be inaccurate. Measure up to an altitude of approx. 2400 m above sea level
EasyTouch® test strips are intended for single use, do not use repeatedly. Do not use sodium fluoride or iodine to disinfect the skin before injection.
