Real unfermented green tea from a virgin rainforest habitat. This tea was produced in the eighties after many years of experience and is a domestic patent of the Makaibari tea garden, where the aim was to remove the typical bitter taste of grass. It is one of the most delicious green teas and is sought after by green tea lovers from all over the world.

Method of collection and production: Tea leaves are collected by hand only from selected parts of the garden from June to November. They are soft light green with stripes of silver.

Taste and appearance: The tea has a beautiful green forest color with a touch of silver. It has an attractive natural taste with a shade reminiscent of asparagus. On the palate, you will find a fresh, lively and incredibly delicious taste that will encourage your taste buds.

The ideal time to enjoy tea: in the afternoon, it is best to drink two cups a day on a regular basis. Green tea is also great after consuming more alcohol.

Makaibari - rainforest. The Makaibari region is a beautiful mystical place on the border of India, Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. Not only the surrounding magical mountain Kurseong predestines teas with exceptional properties. More than 150 years ago, one beautiful story began of a man named GC Banerjee, who had the courage and desire to change the lives of a handful of people in seven poor villages in the inhospitable conditions of the rainforest. They worked rocky soil bit by bit and planted Chinese tea (Camellia sinensis) plants here. The world's first tea garden was created in 1859, and Mr. Rajah Banerjee continues this tradition today. He represents the fourth generation of his ancestors, and whom we had the opportunity to meet in person. In the 1970s, he decided to follow the Austrian philosopher and esotericist Rudolf Steiner, who in his lectures in 1924 described the principles of biodynamic agriculture. Biodynamic agriculture is an alternative way of managing land, where harmony between the plant and animal kingdoms is important. The products of both help each other and thus create a closed circle where everything is utilized. Not surprisingly, in 1988, Makaibari received the world's first tea garden certificate. FOR MORE INFORMATION, SEE THE PDF FILE BELOW
