When an elevated temperature or fever is measured (in the range of 37.6 to 42.9 °C), the color of the backlight changes from green to red. The recommended distance from the measured human forehead/surface/object is 1 to 6 cm. The thermometer can also be used to measure the surface temperature of objects and liquids , for example you can use it to measure the temperature of baby food or a bath. The device offers a memory for the last 19 measurements and an automatic shutdown function after approx. 30 seconds, which ensures a longer battery life.
