Fungicidin Pharmaceuticals can be used by adults, adolescents and children from neonatal age to treat yeast skin diseases, yeast inflammation of the nail bed and additionally to treat yeast disease of the vagina.
Yeast skin diseases (candidiasis) occur most often in places of steaming (between the toes, groin, trunk or hands) and are manifested by redness, itching, sometimes peeling of the skin with an unpleasant odor, or painful skin cracks, especially on the feet.
Yeast inflammation of the nail bed (candida paronychia) is manifested by swelling and redness of the posterior and lateral nail mounds.
The product can be used by pregnant and lactating women.
The package contains 10 g.
Dosage and method of use
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are not sure, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Unless otherwise advised by your doctor, Fungicidin Léka is applied to adults, adolescents and children in a very thin layer 2 to 3 times a day on the affected areas (on the skin, mucous membrane, vagina) until healing. Treatment should be continued even after healing for several more days by applying the ointment only 1 time per day.
If your symptoms do not resolve within 10 days for skin infections or within 7 days for vaginal infections, or, on the contrary, the symptoms worsen or the side effects of the drug appear, discontinue treatment and consult with a doctor. The duration of treatment without consulting a doctor should not exceed 2 weeks.
Composition
The active substance is nystatin 100,000 IU in 1 g ointment. Excipients are white petroleum jelly, sheep's wool fat (lanolin), white wax, liquid paraffin, cetyl alcohol.
