Inadine is a non-stick coating with povidone-iodine on local wounds, saturated with an ointment containing 10% povidone-iodine. This coating also contains polyethylene glycol and purified water.
The cover is intended to protect wounds, including infected ones. It is indicated for the treatment of ulcerative wounds and can also be used to prevent infection in small burns and minor mechanical injuries associated with skin loss. It has a long-term antiseptic effect, which over time helps to treat bacterial, protozoal and fungal infections. In heavily infected wounds, it can also be used in conjunction with systemically administered antibiotics.
