Kemarel is a food intended for special medical purposes, suitable for nutritional support in patients with renal impairment.
It contains the essential amino acids lysine, threonine, tryptophan, histidine and tyrosine, and keto analogues of the amino acids isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, valine and hydroxyanalogues of methionine.
It allows the intake of essential amino acids while minimizing the intake of amino nitrogen.
It serves to reduce damage resulting from incorrect or insufficient protein metabolism in chronic renal insufficiency while limiting dietary protein intake to 40 g/day or less (in adults). It is usually required in patients with glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of less than 25 ml/min.
The carton pack contains 300 tablets.
Dosage and method of use
Unless otherwise recommended, the dose for adults (70 kg of body weight) is 4 - 8 tablets three times a day during meals. It is shown that administration during meals facilitates the absorption and metabolism of the corresponding amino acids. The tablets must be swallowed whole, not chewed.
Kemarel tablets should be administered as long as the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is less than 25 ml/min and protein intake is limited to 40 g/day (adults). There is no experience regarding the use of the product in children.
Do not start or stop taking Kemarel without talking to your doctor.
Composition
Each film-coated tablet contains: 3 mg calcium 2-methyl-67-oxovalerase (keto analogue of isoleucine), calcium 4-methyl-2-oxovalerase (keto analogue of leucine) 101 mg, calcium oxophenylpropionase (keto analogue of phenylalanine) 68 mg, calcium methyloxobytyrase (keto analogue of valine) 86 mg, calcium hydroxymethylthiobotytase (hydroxylatium analogue of methionine) 59 mg, lysine acetate 105 mg (equivalent to 75 mg lysine), threonine 53 mg , tryptophan 23 mg, histidine 38 mg, tyrosine 30 mg, nitrogen total 36 mg, calcium total 50 mg.
Excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K30, macrogol 6000, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, talc, titanium dioxide, tablet coating layer.
