    Excellent cleaning

Special cleaning performance on the wound surface.

    pH value-optimized wound environment

Uses zinc and iron ions to create a moist, pH-optimized wound environment - this promotes wound healing.

    application areas

MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY is an alcohol-free solution for cleaning and moisturizing wounds. MediGel® wound cleaning spray can also be used when changing dressings to loosen adherent dressing materials or encrustations.

Effective cleaning of dirty and covered wounds

MediGel® wound cleaning spray is used to safely clean dirty and occupied wounds.

    • Wounds are already contaminated with dirt, foreign bodies or microorganisms when they form. Thorough and gentle wound cleaning immediately after the injury is important for effective wound healing.
    • Chronic skin wounds are often covered with wound secretions, dead tissue and biofilms. These deposits delay wound healing and must therefore be removed. The surfactant contained in MediGel® wound cleaning spray promotes cleaning performance on the wound surface and the adjacent skin areas.

Simply and conveniently sprayed onto the wound, the natural surfactant adheres to dirt and bacteria and thoroughly removes them from the wound. Impurities are gently rinsed out with the solution and infections are naturally prevented.

MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY: More than “just” wound cleaning

MediGel® FAST WOUND HEALING can do more than many conventional wound ointments. In fact, the hydroactive lipogel has several positive properties and thus creates the best conditions for optimal wound healing.

MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY has a unique, patented formulation:

    • The particularly mild and skin-friendly surfactant “cocamidopropyl betaine” is the basis for the excellent cleaning performance of the wound cleaning spray.
    • In addition, the zinc and iron ions contained ensure an acidic pH value of the wound (pH value of 3.1 to 3.3), which in turn benefits wound healing. At the same time, unfavorable growth conditions are created for various germs.

MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY has these physical properties in detail:

The surfactant “betaine” reduces the surface tension in the wound and thus enables the wound to be cleaned particularly effectively. Dirt, foreign bodies and microorganisms are literally attracted and flushed out of the wound.

    Application

MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY enables optimal wound care right from the start. Dirt and microorganisms are removed from the wound and an ideal wound environment is created for healing.

Important: Always wash your hands before and after treating a wound.

Instructions for using MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY

MediGel® wound cleaning spray can be sprayed onto the wound immediately after the injury. Ideally, MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY should then be wiped off using commercially available sterile gauze compresses (mechanical cleaning). Rinsing is not necessary.

Used to loosen adherent bandages or encrustations

To loosen encrustations or adherent bandages, the following procedure has proven to be effective: moisten commercially available bandages or wound dressings (e.g. compresses) sufficiently with MediGel® WOUND CLEANING SPRAY and apply them to the wound for 10-15 minutes. After the soaking phase, adhering bandages and incrustations can be removed.
