Chirosan Plus is a powdered disinfectant intended for the disinfection of surgical instruments, for the second and higher level of disinfection of instruments, rigid and flexible endoscopes and surfaces of medical devices.
It is intended for manual disinfection and cleaning of tools and aids immediately after use by immersion in a pre-prepared working solution.
The preparation is suitable for disinfection:
- surfaces and surfaces of medical devices by wiping (hydrotherapy baths)
- dental impression materials
- anesthetic accessories
- tonometers
- breathing masks
- endoscopes, incubators, etc.
It is also suitable for use in ultrasonic cleaners.
It is materially compatible with common materials used in medical practice.
It is recommended for surgical steel, glass, plastic, porcelain, ceramic and Plexiglas tools and equipment.
It is not suitable for tools made of brass, copper, aluminium, rubber and for nickel or chrome-plated tools with a mechanically damaged surface.

Dosage and method of use
Preparation of the solution:
Accurately measure the amount of water at a temperature of 20 °C plus/minus 1 °C into the disinfection container. Pour in the measured amount of chirosan plus powder according to the dosage table and mix thoroughly. After 15 minutes of activation and thorough mixing again, the solution is ready for use.
Tools intended for reprocessing are immersed in the prepared solution so that they are completely immersed and all hollow parts are filled with the solution for the specified exposure time. The tools are then removed from the solution and thoroughly rinsed with water. Surfaces of medical devices and aids can also be disinfected and cleaned using a wipe. Heavily contaminated surfaces are first mechanically cleaned and then disinfected. When using the chirosan plus product for hydrotherapy baths, we recommend applying a concentration of 2% for 5 minutes.
After that, it is necessary to rinse with hot water.
Composition
The preparation contains the following active substances:
- in situ generated peroxyacetic acid (2% solution contains more than 1000 ppm peroxyacetic acid)
Notice
Designed for the professional market. Follow the instructions for use carefully. It is not suitable for tools made of brass, copper, aluminium, rubber and for nickel or chrome-plated tools with a mechanically disturbed surface.
